HypeHype Inc. operates Goblin Season. This policy explains how the game and its website handle information when you play or contact us.

Information we use

• Account information: We create a game account for guests. If you link Google or Apple sign-in, we receive the provider's account identifier and, when available, a verified email address. We store an authentication token on your device or in your browser to keep you signed in.
• Game information: We store your chosen player name, saved progress, items, currency, quests, and related game state so you can continue playing. In multiplayer, your player name, character, position, and actions are visible to other players in the same game world.
• Gameplay analytics: We record account-linked events such as sessions, island visits, quest progress, chests, currency changes, deaths, and debug actions to understand and improve the game and investigate problems.
• Technical information: The game and its hosting services process connection information, such as IP address and device or browser details, to connect you to the service and keep it operating securely. Browser storage or device storage also holds your audio preferences and last known position.

How we use and share information

We use this information to authenticate accounts, save progress, provide multiplayer play, maintain security, diagnose faults, and improve Goblin Season. Our hosting provider processes data needed to run the website, game server, and database. Google or Apple processes information when you choose their sign-in service. Other players see only the multiplayer information described above. We do not sell your personal information.

Storage and security

Account, save, and analytics data are stored on our game servers. Production connections use encrypted transport, and access to stored data is restricted to operating the service. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

Retention and deletion

We retain account and saved-game data while your account is in use. Gameplay analytics currently have no automatic expiry. To request access, correction, or deletion of your account and associated data, email contact@hypehype.com and mention Goblin Season. We will verify the request and delete the associated account and data, except information we must retain for legal or security reasons. Clearing browser or device storage removes local preferences and sign-in data from that device, but does not delete server data.
